Service Description
If a person dies without a will, or if the will does not include all heirs, a legal process is initiated to identify them. This process is known as a declaration of heirs. At the end of the process, and depending on the evidence presented, the court will issue a decision (known as a Resolution) identifying the heirs. To reserve your place, a non-refundable consultation fee is required. If legal representation is retained, this fee will be credited toward the case fees. Required Documents: a. Death Certificate b. Declaration of Non-Contentious Probate (ODIN) c. Declaration of Non-Contentious Probate (ODIN) d. Birth Certificates of all heirs of the deceased e. If the deceased was married, the Marriage Certificate issued by the Civil Registry f. Valid photo ID Services Included: 1. Unlimited consultation on the matter. 2. Legal representation throughout the process through an attorney. 3. Drafting of the complaint. 4. $78.00 filing fee with the Court. 5. Monitoring of the process from beginning to end. 6. Monthly report or report whenever a new action is taken in the process. Note: The fee of $1,200 does NOT include: swearing in the complaint; or obtaining any documents necessary for processing the Declaration of Heirs. These services can be requested at an additional cost. *This consultation does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Such a relationship will only be established when: any potential conflicts of interest are reviewed and eliminated; a representation agreement is formalized; and you receive confirmation from one of our attorneys regarding the acceptance of the representation agreement, its scope, and your consent.*
Cancellation Policy
1. Legal consultations are offered at a fixed rate per half hour, payable in advance. The consultation fee is due upon receipt of the full amount and is subject to the cancellation and refund policy outlined in our terms: (a) You may reschedule the consultation for any reason, provided it is done up to 48 hours prior to the consultation; (b) No refunds will be issued if you cancel within 48 hours of the consultation; (c) Law Office PR reserves the right to cancel the consultation at our sole discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued. 2. The client is responsible for connecting on the reserved day and time and will only be allowed 10 minutes. Failure to appear for the consultation without prior notice or postponement will result in no refund. 3. If the consultation exceeds 30 minutes, it will not continue until payment is received for the next half-hour period ($75.00 per half hour). 4. Even though we provide you with a legal consultation, we reserve the right to accept your case and represent you. 5. This consultation does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Such a relationship will only be established when: any potential conflicts of interest are reviewed and eliminated; a representation agreement is formalized; and you receive confirmation from one of our attorneys regarding your acceptance of the representation agreement, its scope, and your consent.
